CONQUEST OF EVIL TIMELINE

Before Time

Event 0:

There exists the physical void and the interwoven dimension of energy. Although separated, the two planes are locked together, with energy from the Grid leaking into the material realm.

Event 1:

The leaking energy causes shifts in the void, resulting in the manifestation of a being who will become known as The One, The Creator, The Presence, and many other names. Alongside him form other beings born of the same energy, though they do not share his purpose.
The event ends in a brilliant explosion of light and energy that initiates creation within the void.

Event 2:

The universe expands and contracts constantly as it tries to achieve stability.
During one collapse, six galaxies compress into the size of stones, each retaining immense power. The stones are modified to help with the shaping of the cosmos.
In another expansion, a world forms teeming with godlike life. However, war among its inhabitants causes its destruction. The One banishes its remnants from his sight.

Event 3:

The One creates celestial servants to oversee the growth of creation. These beings shape the dimensions, planes, and realms of the universe.
They unite planets and plant within them seeds of life and magic: condensed Grid energy, later known as the Zeo Crystal.
The One also creates another being to explore existence. This being discovers the dark remnants of the previous existence and becomes the Dark One. In response, the One's second creation rises to oppose his brother. The first great battle between good and evil begins.

Event 4:

The war ends following the reluctant intervention of The One. The Dark One is imprisoned in a dimensional void hidden deep inside the Grid. His presence corrupts a part of the Morphin Grid. This will in future become known as the Dark Side of the Morphin Grid.
The Luminous One is granted his freedom to do as he will. As such he is the only being in existence totally free of The One's power.
Those servants of The One who sided with the Dark One are punished; those who opposed him are rewarded. The boundaries between dimensions are closed so that the lower realms are protected.
The One returns to his throne, and at his command, the Celestials continue their work.

Event 5:

As the universe stabilises, the Celestials elevate promising races to steward its growth, including the Time Lords and the Maltusians.
Most Celestials return to the One's side. Those that remain to oversee small sections of creations will later be regarded as the creator gods of countless worlds.

Event 6:

The One seals himself off from the cosmos. For those on the other side of the barrier, this appears to have already occurred.

Event 7:

Time begins inside the universe. Existence is born anew.

Pre-History

The planet Eternia is placed at the centre of the universe, but instability causes it to phase in and out of its own realm. Sometimes it is the universe's heart, and sometimes it is replaced by another world.
This imbalance splits the universe into two parallel realms. Neither is aware that the other exists. Travel to and from Eternia is beyond the range of most vessels.
An accident resulting from an illegal experiment results in the birth of the Multiverse. The same accident also creates the Negative Multiverse and Entropy. To those that are limited to viewing time as straight line, it appears as though the multiverse has always existed.
The residual evil from the previous existence, which was responsible for the corruption and creation of the Dark One, assumes a living form. It becomes known as Dark Specter. In this form Dark Specter exists as a single entity capable of moving between universes.

Around 47.5 Billion Years Ago

A planet previously banished from The One's sight explodes, unleashing a wave of chaotic energy that elevates those it encounters to immortality and godhood.

Around 33 Billion Years Ago

Having crossed the entire universe and bounced off the barrier between The One's domain and the rest of existence, the God Wave rebound back to its origin. On arrival two new worlds are created with their population elevated to godhood.

Around 15 Billion Years Ago

A barrier appears preventing time travellers from journeying beyond this point. The explosion caused by the barrier's appearance is considered to be the beginning of the universe.

More than 10 Billion Years Ago

The Time Lords journey from the future to establish themselves as one of the early races and claim their place as leaders of the new universe. Through the careful moving of their planet through time and space, they establish their presence even though they are rarely visible.
The Maltusians attempt to impose order on the cosmos and eliminate magic from the universe. They attempts only succeed in creating the Zerox Dimension, a touchpoint between all realms of magic and a place where those with the skill to use such power can call forth its energies.
The make further attempts to bring order and justice, but their attempts always fail for unknown reason. Eventually they give up and withdraw from the cosmos.
The Morphin Masters emerge, slowly mastering the universe and the Grid. Over eons, they learn how to ascend into the Morphin Grid, shedding their physical forms to becoming beings of energy.
The being known as Dark Specter attempts to gain access to the Morphin Grid, but is defeated by a blast of pure Grid Energy fuelled by the sacrifice of six children.
The Morphinaut becomes the first Phantom Ranger.
The children become eternal beings of energy, known as the Emissaries.

Before 4.5 Billion Years BCE

Maltusian society fractures with different groups setting out to follow their own paths. Their interaction with many of the lesser races leads to some of the leading figures in cosmic affairs able to trace their origins back to Maltus.
The Silver Millenium comes to an end.
The first life on Earth is wiped out in an event that reverts the planet to a molten mass.
The Lunar Kingdom is wiped out along with humaoid life on other planets in the solar system.
The realms of Magitopia and Infernia are created. Magitopia is empowered and ruled over by the Magical Source. Infernia is ruled over by Octomus.

4.5 Billion Years BCE~

The planet Earth is struck by a planetary body. It's fragment of Zeo Crystal is shattered and spread throughout the planet.
A fragment of Zeo Crystal is ejected from the Earth a later found by monks from the M-51 Galaxy.
The dimension of Magitopia gains the ability to transcend into the Mortal Realm. The Magical Source sends some of his followers to protect the planet Earth, seen as an important battleground in the coming war.

10 Million Years BCE

The Shadow Empire is defeated and driven underground. Their demonic patron abandons them in favour of other servants. The new Shadow King assumes the throne, awaiting the day when he can ascend to the Mortal Realm.
The Time Lords of Gallifrey are recognised as the most powerful and feared race in the cosmos. From this point they will use any method they deem necessary to hold onto that power.

9 Million Years BCE

On Cybertron, the thirteen Primes and their attendants wage war against the Quintessons.
The Primes mysteriously vanish, leaving only Sentinel Prime in their place.
The Matrix of Leadership is also lost and the energon supply on the surface is lost.

500 Years Later

Autobots are coming online without transformation cogs.
Considered inferior by Sentinel Prime and his followers, they are treated as lower beings existing only to labour.
Autobots are encouraged to worship their superiors.
Autobots as expected to labour in the mines to harvest energon.

An Accidental Discovery

Autobots D-16 and Orion Pax discover a clue to the whereabouts of the missing Matrix of Leadership.
The truth about Sentinel Prime is revealed when D-16, Orion Pax, Elita-One and their companion stumble upon the resting place of the Primes and are shown the truth by Alpha Trion.
Orion Pax and his friends are gifted the transofrmation cogs of the deceased Primes, allowing them to transform.
Sentinel Prime is killed by D-16 and his transformation cog - formerly the transformation cog of the greate Megatronus - is taken. D-16 takes the name of Megatron as he is transformed by the new cog.
The Autobot known as Orion Pax is given new life as Optimus Prime after being found worthy by Primus. Optimus Prime is rebuilt by the Matrix of Leadership.
Megatron and his followers are banished from Iacon after Megatron loses in combat to Optimus Prime.
Energon flows are restored, ending the Autobots years of labour.
Autobots are given new transformation cogs by the Matrix of Leadership.

Between 9 Million Years BCE and 8 Million Years BCE

Led by Optimus Prime, the Autobots and on occassion the Decepticons, wage war on the Quitessons, finally driving them from Cybertron.

8 Million Years BCE

After eons of cold war a conflict breaks out between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

4 Million Years BCE~

Four million years of warfare has deplete Cybertron's energy.
The Autobots launch the Ark-0, one of many ships intended to search out new sources of energy.
The Decepticons build giant reckets to move Cybertron through space to collect energy.
An accidental misfiring pushes Cybertron out of its orbit and into the path of an asteroid storm.
The Autobots launch their last ship under the command of Optimu Prime himself to clear a path through the Asteroids.

Two Years Later

After expending all of their energy and the power of the Ark to clear a safe passage for Cybertron, the Autobots are ambushed before they can return home.
In a raid by the Decepticons, the Autobots are outmatched and easily over powered.
Optimus Prime activates a failsafe, using the residual fuel that would have allowed them to jump through space to catch up with Cybertron to instead direct them straight into a lifeless planet.
The Ark crashes crashes into a volcano in what will become Portland, Oregon. The ship is covered in lava and all aboard seemingly die.
The Decepticon ship pursues the Ark and finds itself trapped in Earth's orbit by Megatron's failsafe, intended to stop his underlings from stealing the vessel.
In search of the Ark and Megatron, the Decepticon Shockwave descends to the surface of the Earth in the location known as the Savage Land. After a confrontation with a still active group of Autobots, Shockwave is buried in a tar pit.
The entrance to the Savage Land is seled by a cave in during the battle.

Millions of Years BCE

A faction of Maltusians proclaimed themselves the Guardians of Universe and based themselves on Oa, believing it to be the centre of the universe. The rest of the universe refuses to acknowledge them and refers to them as the Guardian of Oa if feeling polite and many harsher names if forced to deal with them.
The Guardians complete the creation of their Manhunter organisation, inviting interested parties from throughout the cosmos to join their ranks. Although limited in number the Manhunters are proven effective.
Despite the success of the Manhunters, the Guardians are not satisfied, believing that the emotions of organic life affects the judgement and ability of their enforcers. The Guardians start working on a new breed of mechanical law enforcement officer to replace the Manhunters. Not only are their new creations a failure, they end up committing mass genocide and having to be hunted down by their organic counterparts.
Despite the failure of their robotic creations, the Guardians still fail to show faith in their original Manhunters.
The Guardians instead decide to use one of the old power relay systems they created to power the Green Lantern Corps. The power relay they chose extracts energy from the Emotional Spectrum and directs it to a Power Ring held by a lantern. Since the Green relay is attuned to willpower, the Guardians believe it will create better avatars.
Unknown to the Guardians, other factions once part of the Maltusian decide to duplicate the idea. As a result all seven of the known power relays are reactivated.
Due to multiple relays being in use the Guardians discover their new corps are limited to a maximum membership of 3600 Green Lanterns. Each Lantern is assigned an area to patrol, but the majority of the universe is left as unpatrolled space.
The Magical Source vanishes following a battle with Octomus. It is believed the Magical Source used up all their essence to seal Octomus within the boundaries of Infernia.

One Million Years Ago

The Lantern projects are deemed a failure with most Maltusians abandoning the work. Some Maltusians reach agreement with the Morphin Masters to combine their resources for the greater good. The result is a team of Rangers who draw their power from Maltusian power relays. The resulting teams become known as Lantern Rangers. Their activities are overseen by a council of seven Maltusians, one representing each of the relays.
A new Magical Source is appointed to lead the magical beings of Magitopia. With the Magical Source in place, citizens of Magitopia find the courage to stand up to those that would pervert magic for evil and to stop the incursion by Infernia.
Those Celestials that did not return to The One following the completion of their great task start to experience problems remembering their pasts. Some forget their noble origins and primary function, prefering instead to pose as demons and gods.
It is discovered that Celestials can draw strength from the worship of the beings they created.

More than 20,000 Years Ago

Fienna is the new Magical Source and Queen of Magitopia.
Fienna is courted and wedded to a disguised Master Vile.
Fienna discovers she is pregnant and begs Zordon for aid.
Zordon offers his protection but it is not enough to prevent Master Vile destroyibng Fienna and taking her daughter.

12,000 BCE

Rita Repulsa is the rightful Queen of Magitopia. However, her father prevents her from claiming the throne in case it turns her against him.
Magitopia is left without a Magical Source and is instead ruled by a council.
The Realm of Heaven starts to send its Heavenly Saints and trainee Angels to Earth to watch over the planet.
One of the Realms of Hell starts to send its denizens to Earth to prevent Heaven gaining a strong hold.

8000 BCE~

The war between Zordon and Rita Repulsa reaches its climax as Rita is defeated.
Before she can be imprisoned, Rita seemingly destroys Zordon's body using the stolen Green Power Coin.
Rita is sentenced to impriosonment inside a ZIthium capsule. There is no maximum term set for her imprisonment. Release will come when she is considered redeemed.

4000 BCE

Queen Bansheera and her empire are defeated. Queen Bansheera is banished to the far reaches of the universe. He court are trapped in a prison dimension accessible only through a tomb in Egypt. Some of her lesser servants are sealed in ruins around the world.
The Earth burns, all life is extinguished. The skies are turned black and the world is left as a husk. Many are satisfied with the result as it removes Earth from future conflict.

4000 BCE~

The energy released by the destruction of Earth allows a Celestial named Yahweh to interact with the Mortal Realm once more. Having seen the benefits of having a world full of worshippers thanking him for their creation, he begins work to restore the planet.
Yahweh seizes control of the realm of Heaven. He banishes the Heavenly Saints but reassigns the Angels to his service, feeding off their worship.
Angels are forcibly turned into servants of their new god.
The Heavenly Saints reach an accord with the council that now rules Magitopia. They are permitted to remain in Magitopia. In return they will act as a replacement for the Magical Source until such time that Rita or one of her descendants returns to claim the throne.
Yahweh obtains the six stones formed during the birth of the earlier Universe to alter the flow of time around Earth, allowing him to seemingly recreate the planet in a matter of days.

Yahweh's Time Distortion

Day One

Yahweh uses one of the stones to draw out the spirit of the ruined Earth. Although close to death, Yahweh is able to restore her and confirms her name a Gaia. Yahweh appoints Gaia to serve as the Spirit of the Earth when the planet is rebuilt.
Yahweh creates Eden as his first attept at a living being. He is so pleased with the result that he creates a garden he names the Garden of Eden in her honour.
Yahweh entrusts Eden with his power. Eden uses that power to reprogram the Archangel Samael into believing that Yahweh is his father and Eden his mother.
Yahweh proclaims "Let there be Light!". Samael flaps his wings, clearing the smoke and smog from the Earth and allowing the light of the Sun to touch the planet.
Yahweh believes that this work took around a billion years.

Day Two

Yahweh expands the links between Heaven and Earth.
Heaven expands to accommodate the new Angels he had unknowingly created.
Eden returns to her garden.
Just over a billion years pass.

Day Three

The Archangel Uriel is repurposed to assist in the rebuilding of the Earth.
This takes around a billion years despite Yahweh's boast that it only took one day.

Day Four

More Angels are pushed into service, carrying out the chores that Yahweh would once have overseen as a Celestial.

Day Five

Experiments to create life for the restored planet begin using the DNA taken from the charred remains.
Unexpectedly as life emerges, a new elemental force is created from psychics, thoughts, dreams, and nightmares. It is known as the Dreaming.
Creatures capable of existing within the Dreaming emerge. They are designated as The Endless.

Day Six

Experiments to find new life for Earth are conducted on a temporary world called Genesis.
A freak accident displaces Genesis into the very distant past.
Panicking Angels race to preserve what remains of their experiments to present to their lord.
Billions of years have passed in the space of a day.

Day Seven

Yahweh realises he has expended too much energy and decrees that all work should cease for a day.
Samael breaks his programming.
Samael leads a rebellion against the imposter Yahweh.
Samael and his followers are defeated and banished, never to return to Heaven. The scarring that results from have their grace ripped away taints them with darkness.
Despite the defeat of Samael's rebellion, most other Angels break the part of their programming that recognises Yahweh as any other than an invader.
During an uprising, Heavenly Host Jehovah - a hybrid of Heavenly Saint and Angel heritage - strikes down Yahweh, absorbing his power and attaining tur godhood. Jehovah's ascension is accepted by his peers as it turns out that he is the male co-creator of most Angels, making him their father.
Samael and his fellow fallen are offered the chance to return to Heaven. They turn their backs on Jehovah and are considered banished.
The banished Angels take on new names, rejecting their pasts.
Jehovah uses the six stones to reshape reality one more time, restoring time to its normal speed and shifting events so that it seems Earth had been freshly created and not rebuilt. The planet is moved back to a point before Queen Bansheera's demons claimed the planet.

Jehovah's Adjusted History

These events occur billions of years after the destruction of Earth and thousand of years before Queen Bansheera claimed the planet. The impossibilty this poses turns the Earth into a massively complex probability engine.

Time is normalised.

~7225 BCE

The first Adam is created from clay within the Garden of Eden.
Adam is destroyed when Jehovah speaks to him.
More Adams are created and destroyed until it is realised that in his new state as a god, Jehovah's voice is simply too powerful for mortals to hear.
The Angel Metaton acts as Jehovah's voice.
An Adam is created that is not destroyed. Jehovah is pleased and allows him to live in the Garden of Eden.

~7000 BCE

Adam grows lonely.
Lilithh is created to acts as his partner.
Lilith refuses to accept the instruction that she is to be Adam's near equal, but that he is ultimately the leader of their kind.
Unknown to Adam, Lilith begins killing and eating animals with a blade she fashioned from the jaw of a previous kill.
Adam warns Lilith to stop killing animals and takes away her blade. Lilith agrees if Adam is willing to share his energy with her. Adam agrees. Lilith secretly breaks her word repeatedly.

~6023 BCE

Lilith is exiled from Eden after she is caught killing.
Unwilling to destroy her, Jehovah banishes her from Eden.
Lilith is sent to the Endless where she is taught by Desire of the Endless, becoming the first succubus.

~6020 BCE

Eve is created to replace Lilith.
Samael now calling himself Lucifer approaches Lilith and offers help with sabotaging Jehovah's plans. Lucifer assigns the demon Ophur to her.

3940 BCE

Lilith and the demon Ophur trick Adam and Eve into eating the forbidden fruit. Uriel captures Ophur.
Ophur is destroyed by Jehovah rage.
An Angel assesses the security of the Garden of Eden. He suggests removing Adam and Eve.
Jehovah's first two followers, Adam and Eve, are cast out of the Garden of Eden. Neither they nor their descendants will be allowed to return.
The Garden of Eden is renovated to serve as a private country club for Jehovah and Eden to entertain other deities. Gaia is also welcomed to have free access to the Garden as part of her domain witha pool installed to allow her to oversee the Earth.

~3937 BCE

Jehovah re-establishes ties with Adam and Eve. Although his word cannot be reverse he reaches a new agreement with them.
Cain and Abel are conceived and born later that year.
Adam and Eve adopt Seth.

~3600 BCE

Adam and Eve attempt to find a place to raise their family.

~3500 BCE

Desire gives Lilith the curse of vampirism.
Lilith infects Abel with therianthrope. Lilith tricks Cain into killing Abel. When she starts to eat his flesh the shocked Cain also eats his flesh after Lilith invites him to do so. Lilith infects Cain with her thirst for blood. Cain becomes the first vampire.
Abel resurrects and curses his brother. Cain kills him again.
Abel tells what happened to Adam and Eve. Lilith reveals her manipulation to Cain and that she became the Mother of Monsters which will torment humanity.
Adam leaves to fight whatever evil and darkness there is. He pledges his life, soul, blood, and the First Blade to the service of the divine. He becomes the first hunter.
Cain, Abel and Eve start wandering the earth as storytellers, looking for a cure to the curse.

3010 BCE

Eve, Cain, and Abel are taken by Dream to fill his library with stories. They start living in the Dreaming.
Lilith and Naamah capture Adam and torture him, hoping to corrupt him.
A truce is set up to end the ongoing background war between Heaven and Hell.

3009

In a final act of anger before attempting to recreate himself as a benevolent god, Jehovah breaks the physical remains of the Celestial known as Yahweh and scatters them across the Earth, using floods and earth quakes to bury them.
At the same time he lays down the rule that he is god and only he shall be god.
The spiritual essence of the fallen Celestial is given over to Hell as part of the peace arrangement. Other Celestials are aware of what happened, but chose not to interfere. Most consider it to be Yahweh's own fault.
Yahweh's is freed from his remains when his essence is sent to Hell. A part of it remains on Earth, but most follows Jehovah back to Heaven where it continues to cause discord.

3008 BCE

En Sabah Nur is born in Jordan.

3000 Years BCE~

At this point the six stones run out of energy and are returned to the cosmos to recharge.
The changes made during this time are stabilised.
One thousand years has passed between the destruction of Earth and it's new beginning.
Some of those events will be told as the story of creation by humans.

1000 Years BCE~

A war between humanity and the Orgs birthed from human misery and greed erupts
The island of Animaria lifts into the sky following the defeat of the Master Org.
Most Orgs are left as bodiless spirits.

900 BCE

The demon Lazurus is slain on Earth. In the explosion that follows his blood mixes with parts of the Earth creating pits capable of bring the dead back to life. The ressurection comes at the price of their sanity.
Lazurus did not consider that his pits could keep an injured being alive or heal their wounds.

500 BCE~

The Mystic Knights keep Kells safe from the evil Maeve.
A team of Ranger-like heroes protect King Arthur and the Kingdom of Camelot.
A magical portal transports King Arthur and his knights to the Isle of Avalon. Travel between Camelot and Avalon is only possible by travelling into the past.
Upon attempting to return Arthur discovers that Avalon does not send a person where they want to go, but where they are needed with a pull that compels them to travel on to the their final destination.
Arthur and his companions journey through time and space, establishing Camelot at different points in history. Records of these events are passed down through history and the irregularities put down to the creativity of the storyteller.

7 BCE

The immaculate Mariam is visited by the Angel Gabriel, gifted with the promise of a child and granted the knowledge that her child shall carry the soul of Jehovah's son.
Through a small amount of manipulation Mariam's betrothed marries her despite knowing he is not the father of the first child she will bear.

5 BCE

A pregnant Mariam and her husband travel to Bethlehem where she give birth. The child is named Yeshua.

27 CE

Yeshua spreads the word of Jehovah.
The mental condition of Yahweh re-establishes itself in some Angels leading to a schism within Heaven.
Yeshua is executed, but his soul is save from death and he is resurrected.
Yeshua ascends to Heaven.

Centuries Later

The division in Heaven is reflected and magnified on Earth with followers of Jehovah and Yeshua turning on each other. This in turn weakens Heaven's power.

1320

Perenelle Flamel is born into a wealthy family.

1330

Nichola Flamel is born in Pontoise, France.

1392

Nicholas Flamel takes the final step needed to create a Philosopher's Stone. In doing so he secures his place as the greatest mass-murderer of all time, a record that was not surpassed for over five centuries.
Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel attain immortality.

Between 1500 And 1836 From Some Perspectives

A wave of unreality passes over the Earth.
Many stories that will become fables are lived out.
Outside of the unreality bubble life goes on as normal with most people unaware of events inside.
At the end of the period the unreality bubble collapses and the world inside merged with the world outside. Owing to reality being in the hand of the majority, the events inside the bubble are dismissed, ignored and mostly forgotten.
Events during this period inspire writers to record themas fairy tales.

1610

An isolated population is exposed to mutagenic gases from a demon event, resulting in Inhumans.
One of the long-term consequences of this event is the formation of a secret coalition that would eventually evolve into SHIELD.

1674

Agatha Harkness is born.

1692

Agatha Harkness is accused of being a witch.

1696

Agatha Harkness gives birth to her son Nicholas.
Death appears to claim the newborn child, but reaches an agreemnet with Agatha to let the child live a while as Death can only give time before death, not life.

1700s

Not for the first time, it is identified that Earth's geography does not logically fit on a map. Multiple countries of different sizes are found to occupy the same apparent space. New map systems are devised to account for these deviations, and travellers are observed to unconsciously shift toward their intended destinations. By the 20th century, this anomaly is largely overlooked. The Isle of Sodor is one such example.
Nicholas and Agatha concoct the tale of the Witches' Road, using it to lure in witches that Agatha can drain of their power. Nicholas' life is extended a little each time they do this.

1702

Nicholas is claimed by Death.
Agatha Harkness continues to use the tale of the Witches' Road to lure in would-be witches, conning them into joining her coven, manipulating them into unleashing their fury upon her and draining them of their life and power.

1840

A powerful demon is slain by forces under the leadership of SHIELD. Its blood mutates human DNA, creating the X-gene.
Doctor Nathaniel Essex having treated patients known to have been exposed to the blood begins his own research. It will lead to his own mutation.

1843

The rogue group APEX is formed in response to growing alien and extra-dimensional threats. While SHIELD aims to coordinate and protect, APEX seeks to seize alien technology for use in mankind's defence, often disregarding ethical constraints.

1855

J'onn J'onzz is assigned the task of infiltrating and reporting on the strengths and weakness of Earth.

1863 (May)

Scientific followers of the Hollow Earth Theory undertake an exploratory journey. They return claiming success and present evidence, but the theory is widely dismissed and forgotten.

1865

A powerful demon is slain by forces under the leadership of SHIELD. Its blood mutates human DNA, creating the x-gene.

A Martian invasion is narrowly overcome. World leaders acknowledge Earth's lack of preparedness for such threats. Initial plans are drawn to create planetary defences.
J'onn J'onzz fights against his own kind to protect Earth.
On Mars it is later discovered that the planned invasion of Earth came about following an uprising by one of the Martian clans.
All life on Mars disappears following the failed invasion. J'Onn J'onzz is trapped on Earth until they develop space travel.

APEX is excluded from formal planning to defend against extraterrestrial and extra-dimensional invasions after demanding full rights to any recovered technology and biological specimens.

1925

Strange activity on Mars draws the attention of astronomers and mystics alike. The phenomenon fades without explanation, but remains in classified observatory records.

1929

Jonathan Osterman is born in Germany.
Nathaniel Essex conducts secret experiments around the world, hiding his activities behind the attrocities of war.

Bruce Wayne is born.

1940s

Unusual magical activity is detected in Europe. American wizarding communities refuse to interfere. The activity ceases without clear resolution. Most records are lost, but the name Grindlewald remains in a few recovered memos.
Justice Society of America consisting of Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, Doctor Fate and Black Cat formed. Black Canary, Red Tornado and The Atom added to the roster soon after.
Hawkman and Hawkwoman join the Justice Society of America.
Woman Woman withdrawals form world events after end of World War Two.
The Justice Society of America renames itself to the Justice Society following political pressure to act purely in American interests. The rechristened Justice Society expands with new members.

1947

APEX causes major international incident in Mexico.

1950s

Justice Society fully disbands following congressional hearings and proposed laws to allow government control over their activities. Most members of the Justice Society disappear after is disbandment.
This inadvertently leads to government research to create its own team of heroes.
Investigations later reveal that these hearings were a result of lobbying by APEX.

1955

J'Onn J'onzz uses Zeta Beam technology to return to Mars but arrives 5000 years in the past. He remains there for some time, learning from the Elders and attaining a post within the Manhunter organisation.
J'onn J'onzz returns to Earth. He is now many centuries older than when he left, but refuses to say how long he was away for.
J'Onn J'onzz assumes the human identity of John Jones.
J'Onn J'onzz is still a recognised member of the Manhunter organisation despite its purge of biologicval members. He adopts the name Martian Manhunter when he is in his true form protecting the Earth.

1956

At 18, Bruce Wayne witnesses his parents' murder. Bruce begins training toget revenge.

1957

APEX faces severe sanction after their attempts to capture and imprison suspected aliens on Earth. Especially when one of those 'aliens' turns out to be the daughter of a welthy donor toe the Presidents reelerction campaign.

1959

August 20th

John Osterman is accidentally trapped inside a research chamber during a study of unidentified energy fields. He is seemingly ripped apart by the energy.
In truth the experiment tapped into a part of the Morphin Grid, and John's body was 'ascended' into the Grid without the protection of a Heart.

1960s

Batman begins his vigilante career in Gotham, operating from the shadows and gradually earning public attention.
The group of young scientists known as the Fantastic Four disappear during a space mission.
Hank Pym begins Pym Particle research.
Diana (Wonder Woman) returns to the World of Man.
During a quantum rocket test, Marlena is launched into deep space and lost. Though her arrival on Eternia does not occur for some years, she will later become Queen Marlena.

1961

Ghostly sightings at the site of John Osterman's death are revealed to be a physcially altered John, who over the space of two years rebuilt his body using the power of his mind.
Government officials eager to have a powerful hero to present to America and the World christen the reborn John as Dr Manthattan.

1966

Bruce Wayne opens the Wayne Foundation as a charitable organisation. Wayne Enterprises remains one of the countries leading companies.

1969

Grace Sterling and four others are recruited to become a Power Ranger-like team.
After their mission, Grace founds Promethea to explore science and defence innovation.
Dr Manhatten withdraws from his role as a government agent. He vanishes soon after.
Governments around the world sign up for the Taskforce Initiative to create future teams of superpowered as part of their national defence.

1970s

SHIELD expands; Howard Stark lays its foundation.
Shang-Chi is born in 1972.
Nick Fury rises in rank.
Bruce Banner and Stephen Strange are born.
Jessica Drew is born.
Barry Allen becomes The Flash at 23 following a Particle Accelerator incident at Star Labs. Studies will later conclude that the lightning that struck him was produce by the accidental tapping into the Speed Force.
Numerous alien incursions occur across Earth; SHIELD monitors events, coordinating global defence and resolving jurisdictional conflicts.
APEX frequently interferes with alien incidents, often requiring SHIELD or other agencies to contain their experiments.
The UK-based organisation UNIT is particularly successful in turning back alien incursions, a feat they attribute to their enigmatic scientific advisor.

1972

A crack commando unit is sent to a military prison for a crime they did not commit. The promptly escape to the Los Angeles underground where they remain pursued by MPs

1978

Superman discovers the Fortress of Solitude, a Kryptonian colonist ship that has been on Earth since it landed disguised to fit in as part of the planet's ice fields.

1979

Superman is photographed in Metropolis after saving an experimental plane and all on board, including Lois Lane. As a result Superman is forced to adopt a more public role.

1980s

Tony Stark grows under his father's legacy.
Natasha Romanoff trained in the Red Room.
Clint Barton joins SHIELD.
Luke Cage gains powers from demon-blood serum.
Shang-Chi is raised by a mystical organisation.
Matt Murdock is blinded by a chemical spill tainted with demon blood.
Hal Jordan becomes Green Lantern.
Dick Grayson becomes Robin.

1981

Superman visits Eternia and allies with He-Man.
Oliver Queen is ship wrecked on a deserted island

1982

Justice League is founded: Batman (44), Superman (44), Wonder Woman, Flash (Barry, 30), Hal Jordan, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter.
A journalist is found dead in his hotel room. Investigations reveal that he was following a story about mysterious kidnappings around the world. The matter is later misplaced.

1983

Hawkman and Hawkwoman join Justice League. They have not aged since leaving the Justice Society.
A time-displaced Skeletor arrives on Earth seeking the Sword of Power. He is defeated by the Justice League alongside Hawkman & Hawkwoman.
Skeletor vanishes before he can be vanquished.
Hawkman and Hawkwoman join the League.
A strange one word message in released on all radio and television frequencies. Following which previously law abiding citizens are found to have joined forces with a known terrorist organisation.

1984

A research facility in Portland, Oregon, files a report that leads to the sealing of a dormant volcano. The site is marked as a dig of great interest, though the public is never informed of what was found.
Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz and Egon Spengler after being kicked out of their research jobs after the university begin a new business busting ghosts.
Negative Energy readings around New York escalate to dangerous levels leading to the arrival of Gozer.
Jason Todd taken in by Bruce Wayne and trained to be the new Robin.

1985

Oliver Queen is invited by Bruce Wayne to join the Justice League. Bruce later reveals that Oliver's perspective is needed to keep the League grounded.
Hal Jordan steps down; Guy Gardner becomes Green Lantern.
Bruce Banner becomes the Hulk after exposure to a torrent of Negative Energy.

1986

Doomsday defeats Superman, putting him in a coma.
Guy Gardner, Fire, Ice, Hawkman and Hawkwoman are injured.
John Stewart becomes Green Lantern.

1987

During a high-speed experiment, Barry Allen accidentally breaches a dimensional barrier and crosses space to land upon another Earth. There, he meets Jay Garrick and the still-active Justice Society of that world.
It is later revealed that the relationship between the Earth of Barry Allen and the Earth of Jay Garrick does not require the travelling through the multiverse as both planets are in the same universe, but very far away.
Following his return to his Earth, Barry Allen begins researching ways to break the barriers between universes and travel the multiverse.
After an incident later classified in the Gulf, Tony Stark was kidnapped and injured. Tony Stark becomes Iron Man, donning his first combat suit during an escape.

1987–1989

Superman recovers slowly from his injuries, requiring daily high doses of solar radiation; he semi-retires at the end of 1989.
Hawk & Dove are inducted as members of the Justice League.
Jason Todd is seemingly killed by the Joker.
Captain America is revived and joins the Avengers.

1988

Avengers Initiative begins: Natasha, Clint, Hulk, Pym, Wasp.
Tony Stark completes his new armour and begins a public career as Iron Man. He also starts collaborating with the Avengers on a freelance basis, contributing tech and intelligence support.
Due to political pressure and Stark Industries' defence contracts, Tony is deemed unsuitable to be an official part of the Avengers.
Batman takes a more strategic role.
Peter Parker (15) is bitten by genetically altered spider.
Doctor Fate visits the Ancient One in New York.
Steve Rogers is added to the Avengers Initiative.

1989

Thor arrives on Earth and officially joins the Avengers.
Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are also introduced and join the Avengers alongside Thor.
Loki appears, sparking the Avengers' first direct confrontation with Asgardian forces and confirming the mythological pantheon as a real cosmic power.
Tony Stark as Iron Man works with the Avengers. He is officially inducted into the Avengers at the end of the year. His inclusion is condemned by some members of the Congressional Defence Council.

1990

Shang-Chi (18) breaks away from his mystical upbringing and entering the world as an independent martial artist.
Doctor Strange becomes the Sorcerer Supreme. The Ancient One remains as an adivsor.
Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Drew active in NYC.
Tim Drake becomes Robin.
Vision is created.
Massive funding cuts leads to the closure of numerous quasi-governmental organisations.

1991

Hawkgirl replaces Hawkman and Hawkwoman in the Justice League.
Nicholas Flamel lends Albus Dumbledore a copy of the Philosopher's Stone. This one lacks the final steps needed to empower it.

1992

Albus Dumbledore reports to the Flamels that there stone has been destroyed.
Albus Dumbledore reveals he knows what was required to create the stone and that he would not curse himself by taking such a step.
Nicholas Flamel achieves redemption in the eyes of Albus Dumbledore when he swears not to attempt to create a new stone or finish one of his copies.
It is not revealed that the stone Albus Dumbledore destroyed was only a poor copy.

1992 - 2001

Damage to the Space/Time Continuum means that time between these years is constantly in flux and does not pass smoothly.

Shazam (age 16) and Steel join the Justice League.
The media tries to label Steel as the new Superman.
Clark Kent remains semi-retired.
Rita Repulsa is accidentally released from her prison.
Zordon of Eltar selects five teenagers to become Power Rangers and defend Earth from Rita's evil.
Barry Allen is still active as Flash.
Wally West begins training.
John Stewart, Black Canary - daughter of the previous Black Canary, Hawk & Dove, Hawkgirl form the League's modern front.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles emerge (mutated as hatchlings in 1980s). For a time they remain an Urban Myth.
Tommy Oliver is recruited by Rita Repulsa to serve as her Evil Green Ranger. Upon breaking the spell he becomes the sixth Power Ranger.
Young Justice and Teen Titans are both active.
Tommy Oliver loses his powers.
Rita Repulsa summons the demon Lokar to aid Goldar in a plan to destroy the Power Rangers.
Power Rangers team up with the League vs Rita Repulsa & DC villains.

Prince Adam and Teela of Eternia arrive on Earth after the Sorceress sends them to safety. Their arrival draws the attention of Skeletor who had pursued them but arrived on Earth almost a decade earlier.
The history and future of the Sword of Power are revealed as Adam, Teela and Skeletor return to Eternia to confront the sorceress Evil-Lyn. The Sword of Power is safely secured by the Power Rangers. Somehow Adam manages to take the sword with him.
Lord Zedd arrives on Earth and takes over from Rita Repulsa.

1993 - 1994

Lord Zedd seals Rita Repulsa in a Zithium capsule and sends her into space.
Lord Zedd begins his own campaign to conquer Earth.
The Power Rangers are forced to changed from Dino Zords to Thunder Zords in order to counter Zedd's first monster.
The Power Rangers struggle against Zedd's monsters, especially Tommy whose powers are unstable.
Lord Zedd wins a victory when the Green Ranger's powers fail completely.
Tommy Oliver seeks the White Light.
The White Ranger emerges.
The Peace Conference is announced. Jason, Trini and Zack are selected as participants.
Rocky, Adam and Aisha replace Jason, Trini and Zack. Tommy is appointed as leader of the Power Rangers.

1994

In England, Nicholas Flamel and his wife Perenelle Flamel are reported to have died.
Fantastic Four return to Earth.
Peter Parker stops selling freelance pictures of Spider-Man to JJ Jameson.
APEX's Rider project leads to several deaths.
APEX's SWAT project also leads to many deaths
APEX is prohibited from working on further projects involving alien artefacts.
Rita Repulsa returns to the Moon and is released by Finster.
Rita uses a love potion on Lord Zedd.

Late 1994

Rito Revolto arrives.
The Power Rangers lose their Zords and powers in combat against Rito.
The Power Rangers seek out the legendary Ninjor to obtain new powers.
The Power Rangers are given new Power Coins and Zords. Their connection to the Morphin Grid is altered.

1995–1997

Jason Todd resurfaces as the Red Hood.
Barry transitions out; Wally becomes Flash.
Avengers face Dormammu, AIM, and Klaue.
Metahumans rise in both worlds due to magical/demonic/alien surges.
APEX's secret illegal research site vanishes along with the organisation's leaders and personnel.

1995

Rita Repulsa recruits Katherine Hilliard as a new servant and spy.
Working for Rita, Kat manages to steal the Pink Power Coin, causing Kimberly to fall ill, hijacks the Falcon Zord and almost succeeds in destroying Tommy.
Kat breaks her spell and replaces Kimberly as Pink Ranger.
Master Vile arrives.
The Orb of Doom is used to turn back time on Earth and render the Power Rangers helpless. This event completely disrupts time around Earth until the end of the century.

1996

Machine Empire targets Earth as part of its expansion program. King Mondo also plans to use the conquest of the planet as a teaching tool for his youngest son.
A previously encountered enemy makes their own bid to conquer Earth. This causes a crisis effecting all existence.
Dark Specter's singular form is fractured throughout the Multiverse. While this weakens the villain, he is able to actively participate in the fight against good on multiple fronts.

1996/1997 (Distorted Time)

In Egypt an APEX funded expedition accidentally unleashes demons associated with Queen Bansheera. Lightspeed Rescue is activated.
The pirate queen Divatox seeks to marry the demon Maligore.
The Dark Specter of Earth 1 takes over the Alliance of Evil. He renames it the United Alliance of Evil. Members are selected by Dark Specter and ordered to attent him.

1997

Divatox sets her sights on Earth as revenge for her lost love.

1998

Bruce Wayne is 60 and retired.
Clark Kent officially retires from being Superman.
Conner Kent is discovered during a search of Lex Luthor's facilities. He is taken in by Clark Kent to recover from his ordeal.
Wally West is Flash; Shazam (22), Steel, John Stewart, Hawkgirl, Black Canary lead the League.
Avengers led by Captain America, Iron Man, Doctor Strange.
Fantastic Four work alongside SHIELD.

The Time Lord known as the Doctor is the last known being of his race. All communication from him goes silent.
